Terms of service
These terms apply to venue accounts using The Racker booking and venue-management service. They explain what we provide, what venue owners remain responsible for, and how subscriptions work.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
1. Who we are
The service is provided under the name The Racker. For account, billing or service questions, contact info@theracker.co.uk.
2. The service
The Racker provides software for publishing venue availability, taking customer table bookings, managing tables and prices, and viewing booking information. We may improve, change or temporarily suspend parts of the service for maintenance, security or operational reasons.
Venue owners are responsible for the accuracy of their venue details, opening hours, table availability, prices, booking rules, customer communications and delivery of the service booked at their venue. A customer’s table booking is subject to the venue’s own rules and availability.
3. Accounts, businesses and fair use
You must provide accurate account and business information, keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused. You must be authorised to act for any venue you add.
One venue subscription is intended for one business, organisation or recognised venue group. The same account may cover multiple locations operated by that business or chain, subject to the venue allowance shown on the account. Unrelated or independently operated venues require their own subscription. A consultant or service provider may be invited to manage several customers' venues, but each independent customer must hold its own trial or subscription. We may ask for reasonable evidence of common ownership or control and may restrict venue creation while that check is completed.
You must not use The Racker to mislead customers, upload unlawful or abusive content, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, repeatedly claim trials, or use the service in a way that could harm another person or venue. We may restrict or close accounts that breach these requirements.
4. Free trial
An eligible business may start one seven-day venue trial without entering payment details. The trial is intended to test one genuine pilot venue. A one-time seven-day extension may be requested through the account, giving no more than 14 trial days in total. Trials and extensions are subject to eligibility and fair-use checks and do not reserve a founding price.
You may start a monthly or annual subscription at any point. There is no automatic charge when a trial ends. If no subscription is active at expiry, venue information and existing bookings are retained, but the venue is removed from public booking results and venue-management, changes and new bookings are locked until access is restored. Trial eligibility is normally limited to one trial per business and physical venue.
5. Plans, prices and payment
Venue subscriptions are billed in GBP through Stripe. The standard plans currently shown on the site are £39.99 per month or £399 per year. The first 20 eligible venue accounts may claim a founding price of £19.99 per month or £150 per year for their first 12 months; the standard price applies afterwards. Founding availability is limited and subject to the offer terms shown at checkout.
Any applicable taxes are shown by Stripe before payment is confirmed. Paid access begins once Stripe confirms the subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval unless cancelled. You can manage payment methods, invoices and cancellation through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, so access remains available until that date unless the account is suspended for another reason.
6. Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may allow a short grace period while Stripe retries payment. If payment is not recovered, venue-management and new-booking features may be suspended. We will normally retain account and booking data so that access can be restored if the subscription is recovered or restarted.
7. Intellectual property and your content
We own or license the software, branding and underlying technology used to provide The Racker. You retain responsibility for content and information you submit. You give us permission to host, process and display that information only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service.
8. Availability and liability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but online services can be affected by maintenance, networks, third-party services or events outside our control. The Racker does not guarantee that every booking will be accepted, fulfilled or available at a venue; the venue remains responsible for its own operations.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profits, or venue decisions based on inaccurate availability or pricing information.
9. Ending an account
You may stop using the service or cancel a subscription through Stripe. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security concerns, unlawful use, unfair trial or venue use, or a material breach of these terms. On termination, we may retain information where needed for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention or security purposes.
10. Contact
For account, billing or service questions, email info@theracker.co.uk. We will use the information you provide to investigate and respond.
